Call for Film Submissions!

Do YOU have an amazing animated film to submit to the 2012 PMC Film Festival? Or a WIP to your amazing animated film? Or even just a short little animation test that is, I mean it’s alright I guess, nothing too crazy though??? Then you are awesome. And we are more than happy to take your entries. Here are deadlines you need to be aware of.

Friday, April 27th (11:59pm)
A WIP of your film/animation that will be used as a placeholder for the festival’s compilation of clips, ie. an animatic. This will guarantee you a spot in the festival. If we don’t get a WIP film by this date, your film might not make it into the festival. (Animation tests should be submitted by this time as well.)
Friday, May 4th (11:59pm)
A final copy of your film/animation.
Film requirements:
  • You must be current PMC member or PMC alumnus.
  • Film dimensions: Preferably a 16:9 ratio, 720×480 or larger.
  • When submitting, provide your name, its length, and the name of your piece (if it has a name).
Two ways to submit:
  • Hand one of the PMC officers a copy of your film on a CD, or if you trust us enough, a flash drive.
  • If your file is small enough, email the PMC at pencilmileageclub@gmail.com
Disclaimer:
  • We have the right to refuse service! (In other words we have the right to not put your film in the festival for whatever reason, but really we will accept nearly everything.)
  • There is a possibility music will be added to play over the silent animations.
The actual film festival will be Saturday, May 12th, 7pm-10pm. We’ll have a potluck before – more info on this later.
Any questions just ask. Thanks everyone!!
